Apple 'Dummellor's Seedling' (syn. 'Dumelow's Seedling' and 'Wellington'), late September. A traditional old Englilsh culinary apple raised in the late 1700s by Richard Dummellor (pronounced Dumelow), a farmer at Shakerstone, near Ashby-de-la-Zouche in Leicestershire. One of the best Victorian cooking apples and thus widely grown.
