Sorbus x hostii, late April. A form of mountain ash reaching up to 15 x 10 feet that is the hybrid between Sorbus chamaemespilus & S. mougeotii. It is very similar to Sorbus mougeotii except its leaves are sharper toothed and a little longer, up to 5 inches in length. The flowers are pink, borne in clusters up to 6 inches across, and resemble that of Sorbus chamaemespilus. They are followed by red fruits.
